What You Will Do:

 

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for marketing project management and strategy.  Additionally, there will be a focus on managing the marketing budget, including forecasting, ongoing maintenance of the marketing database, and driving improvements on conversion rates for prospective students.  This role will work closely with marketing and enrollment team members, academic leaders, and external agencies. It will also create and support marketing presentations and reports, including inquiry and conversion plans.  As a member in the marketing department, the Marketing Manager will also work on special projects, as assigned by the Executive Director of Marketing and Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead key projects driving the marketing strategy for the university, including key projects driving the direction of the university, strategies focused on increasing conversion for inquiries, including reporting, list management, data hygiene, and marketing and enrollment reporting
  • Oversight of marketing budget, and processing of payments and vendor management, including management and coordination of monthly budget review meetings.  Analyzing budget variances and engaging in developing a strategic budget plan that includes cost-benefit analysis.
  • Support to social media, including attending university events
  • Provide strategic project and other support by leading key initiatives on behalf of the VP of Marketing and Enrollment and Executive Director of Marketing.
  • Use company branding to coordinate, create and prepare marketing presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or other closely related field
  • 2+ years of experience working in marketing
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with Social Media platforms with a willingness to learn Power BI, Tableau, Hootsuite and other tools.
  • Project Management - Manages each stage of a project to ensure that commitments are met in a manner that is timely and within budget. Clearly defines roles and responsibilities, determines necessary resources, and monitors project performance through appropriate systems and procedures.
  • Communication - Communicates effectively and appropriately. Uses good judgment as to what to communicate to whom as well as the best way to get that accomplished. Speaks in a clear and credible manner, selecting the right tone for the situation and audience. Listens to others and allows them to make their point.
  • Decision Quality - Gathers enough information to allow a trustworthy assessment of risks and benefits of alternative approaches in any decision. Stays focused on objectives and considers both the short-term and longer-term impact of decisions and keeps objectives in mind throughout the process.
  • Creativity - Applies creativity and originality in the work setting, when appropriate. Suggests or applies new ways of addressing ongoing work issues and challenges. Sees possibilities that others have not yet seen, or combines ideas and approaches suggested by others in a unique manner that results in breakthroughs and improvements.
