What You Will Do:

 

The Community College Relationship Manager (CCRM) is the account owner and responsible for managing a portfolio of clients within the community college market and surrounding Early Childhood Centers. In collaboration with the Director, the CCRM is responsible for executing tactics within a given territory with the goal of driving leads to meet the new student headcount budget and develop relationships. The CCRM will initiate new opportunities by recruiting, enrolling and registering onsite groups. The CCRM will nurture relationships with key contacts in order to promote, recruit, and enroll transfer students at NLU. This will require the CCRM to be a subject matter expert in the NLU undergraduate portfolios while maintaining and promoting a general understanding of the overall NLU program offerings. In addition, the CCRM is to promote the NLU portfolio to external stakeholders via information sessions, classroom visits, conferences, CC events, and to CC advisors etc. This person will have the ability to develop relationships with influencers in order to secure partnerships and prospective student inquiries. This position requires excellent time management, presentation skills, communication and organizational skills.

Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive partnership, enrollment and revenue growth—identifying and proposing new partnership opportunities in an assigned verticals such as Community Colleges and Early Childhood Centers
  • Create and conduct presentations to key stakeholders within the assigned sector
  • Develop strategies, initiatives, and tactical plans for partnership work that is aligned with the University’s overarching strategic plan
  • Coordinate with NLU’s leadership team to develop mutually beneficial proposals with prospective clients</li><li>Research and analyze competitor set information and determine market share opportunity
  • Manage and document day-to-day activities within NLU’s contact management system (CRM)—creating transparency and visibility for internal collaboration
  • Develop and strengthen connections with internal stakeholders at NLU; creating strong, multi-level relationships with academic partners; and staying abreast of major industry trends
  • Deliver and negotiate contractual agreements with potential partners

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Minimum of three years of demonstrated successful track record in sales or business development or a related customer-facing role in higher education
  • High degree of personal accountability and integrity
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience developing and structuring agreements to support partner objectives
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written communication and strong/succinct oral communication skills essential
  • Can analyze organizational strengths and weaknesses and then combine these with knowledge of the industry, market and organization to develop long-term strategy
  • Achieves results within established timelines. Understands and demonstrates that intentions, activities and results are not the same. Expects that obstacles will occur and refuses to use them as an excuse for not achieving results
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written communication and strong/succinct oral communication skills essential (i.e. ability to present to large and small groups of people)
